Volunteering

Volunteering at Designs in Mind

Our Volunteers are incredibly important to us – they help us to deliver our exciting and ambitious creative workshops and to support our Members to achieve their full potential.

Through volunteering with us you will learn new things, be able to access training opportunities, make new friends and be a part of something bigger.

We offer a range of rewarding and exciting voluntary opportunities, please find our current opportunities below.

Artist Volunteer

Are you passionate about practical art and design skills and helping people to learn new things? You could be an Artist Volunteer – helping to deliver art workshop sessions, develop bespoke handmade products, and fostering creativity.

Listen & Connect Volunteer

Are you a good listener who is enthusiastic about supporting people living with mental health challenges? You could be a Listen and Connect Volunteer – helping Members to talk through their problems and be heard.

Retail Volunteer

Do you love meeting new people and want to make mental health visible on the high street? You could be a Retail Volunteer – sharing our ethos and story to visitors to our shop and being involved in developing creative and colourful shop displays.

We sometimes offer project work experience for students from a variety of courses, including mental health nursing, creative arts, health and social care. We are not a place for Arts Therapy students, as this is something we don’t offer at Designs in Mind. For further information contact – enquiries@designsinmind.co.uk
