Scion Collaboration

Did you enjoy working on the designs for Scion?

The whole brief from Scion was exciting and something we could all participate in. The thought of working with such a prestigious company also was impressive.

Thinking back what was your favourite workshop? Animals, lupin, still life etc.

The workshop I think I got the most out of was animals. Though I did enjoy them all to be honest.

Which of your designs were chosen?

The designs that were used were a drawing of my bootiful dog Barnaby ( aka Buggersby) which feels as if I’ve immortalised him now and a drawing I did of a duck.

How did this make you feel?

I was genuinely shocked and ecstatic to have my drawings used. As already said, I love my boy Barnaby it feels as if he is immortalised forever on wallpaper. I am eternally grateful to the staff and members at designs in mind for what they can get out of me, help me to achieve and the potential they see.

Has coming to Designs in Mind and working on this collaboration had a positive impact on your mental health?

Yes for sure, coming to Designs in Mind has had a great impact upon my mental health and well being. We are incredibly fortunate to have access to such a great safe and creative space.

I would like to add once again a mahoosive thank you to all the staff who work so hard on our behalf and also to the other members who help make the space what it is.
