There is still time to enter our Annual Raffle and be in with a chance of winning incredible prizes.
Our prizes are all made in our Oswestry studio, by our talented members, who have been beavering away all year round.
We have some stunning, high quality prizes. However the real beauty of our prizes is the dedication of our team who work on projects like this, it offers our members the chance to find meaningful ways to support their mental health throughout the year.
We are an organisation in our own right we rely on funding and are always looking to find ways to self sustain too.
Our tickets will available from our shop and various local outlets.
The prizes are:
• 1st prize: Hand sewn Quilt
This tactile and eye catching quilt has been collaboratively designed by members and volunteers in the Designs in Mind studio.
Each design has been created and printed using a stencilling method, which offered an inclusive way to bring print into the main studio. Some elements have been hand embroidered to enhance the piece, before constructing it, using cotton batting for a quality made mini quilt. All the main body fabrics have been donated or purchased second hand and repurposed. We believe the fibre compositions to be linen and ramie fabrics.
• 2nd prize: Hand painted, hand held vanity mirror
This pretty and practical hand held vanity mirror has been sourced locally from a second hand dealer. Brought into our studio and sanded down, prior to being decorated with chalk paint to bring a new lease of life to it. The painted design is a mix of members work creating an astrological dreamlike design.
After painting, it has been sealed with wax.
• 3rd prize: An original A3 print
A vibrant picture, named ‘Forbidden Fruit’ is an A3 framed print. Designed in the Designs in Mind Studio and digitally printed on matt card. Finished in hand painted frame.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the Designs in Mind shop, online and various outlets around town, such as OsNosh Community Kitchen, Open Space Studios and Babbinswood Farm.
